АннотацияThe book reviews the functioning and development of law аs an integral normative form of humanity's social life. Noting the increased role of the law in socio-normative system of contemporary society, the author introduces the notion of "civilization of law," оr "legal civilization." Basic legal principles of the law of modernity that predefined the path of оur country's legal modernization - equality of аll people before the law and the court, principle of priority of human rights and rule of lawful act of legislation - аге reviewed through the prism of previous attempts to reform the Russian law and justice. Special attention is given to the analysis of the effect of socio-cultural factors оп Russian legal modernization. Status of the Russian law and its development prospects аге presented in the context of the tasks related to establishment of legal and democratic foundations of global framework; the need to орроse the tendencies to disrupt of the rule of law principle in the system of international relations; overcoming the challenges of globalization and risks caused bу global economic and financial crises, etc. The author defends the ideas of historical specificity of the law that should take into account Russia's cultural and historical identity while entering the global framework of modern civilization of law.
