| Аннотация | This book provides an introduction to the new science of ergonomics - or the study of man in relation to his work. It begins with a description, in straightforward, non-technical language, of the physiological, psychological and anatomical characteristics of man, including an account of how he receives information through his senses and how he deals with it. It goes on to discuss the importance of the correct layout of equipment, adequate work space and the display of information, in enabling the worker to operate with maximum efficiency. Training both of the young and of the older worker in new techniques; the effects of shift work and fatigue; accidents, both in the factory and on the road - all these vital topics are fully discussed. The book will be of special interest to all those, from production engineers to trade unionists, who are closely concerned with the problems of man in his working environment. |
